The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 看了5分钟过来评论。镜头表现很天才，诚意十足。很久没看到这么好的天赋型的作品了。
文本明显不及上一部 印象最深的是评论从阿富汗撤军：“我猜美军也想居家办公吧”
颜值在线，剧情比较一般。世间恐怕没有这样的爱情吧！但是带上了信仰，又似乎可以理解了。
扯 不符合价值观和爱情观。男主拍的像个大傻笔，强行舔狗舔到最后毫无底线，但应有尽有。女主死活千百次要回去做🐔，不懂。什么玩意啊
ps：看得兄弟差点心梗，原本每次去喝🌸酒都觉得她们很可怜，所以便不想有肢体接触，这下更没法面对了😖
真的女主那无语程度我差点看不下去。但男主这什么圣人爱情我实在感动了。

哭着看完，然后内心OS是：“姐很贵，和我在一起你要付代价。” 真的觉得现在很多问题，是和魔鬼对人类自我价值的攻击有很大关系，但女孩儿们真的要记住：“妳很贵！Precious！”
这种正直帅气、勇敢善良、钟情专一的男主可能永远只会存在电影里吧。那么是什么让我坚持看完了这部电影呢？主角的颜值！果然好看的人只要演技不是太差，总会让人有看下去的欲望。
不是美国衰落了药丸了，是人类社会就是一直这么拉跨…
没想到竟然成了后疫情时代的一个延续性节目了，世界只是在变得更糟糕和魔幻罢了，总结下、戏谑下，用演员来完成脱口秀式的槽点挺有趣的。对立可能是世界过去一年的主要标签，而无例外我们的周遭依然平稳且不会有人来总结这一年发送多少魔幻的事情，fake “peace and love ”。
这时代已经荒诞到分不清真实与虚构画面了。合格的跨年夜娱乐节目。
中间有几度想说女主是不是有点太执拗了 但！ 最后还是美好结局 所以算了吧 希望大家都能得到救赎 都能有真爱陪伴一生
依然諷刺的文化觀察，2021年世界依然糟糕，希望不要有下集了。
