The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 粉丝向作品，表演刻意，音乐随意，缺乏亮点，强行催泪。
年度歌舞好片，加菲尔德也很适合这个角色，虽然是音乐家的传记片，但是每个人都能从中看到自己的影子。这种年龄焦虑、事业焦虑、同龄人焦虑三管齐下的状态也正是无数人深陷其中的，尝试追求着自己理想的生活方式，但频频精神内耗自我怀疑。

电影剧情就是套路励志片嘛，歌曲一般吧，算不上多好听。
加菲绝对是联合国认定的阳光大男孩，感染力很强，能看出他用了一百二十分的情感在演绎。 “牢笼还是翅膀，去问飞鸟吧。是恐惧还是爱 ，别说出答案，行动远胜于言语。”这部电影是献给35岁的乔纳森最好的礼物。
